What's it Like to Work for Harmonic?

Harmonic works exclusively with a significant number of the world’s largest and most respected organisations.  What they all have in common is the need to win and then deliver successfully some of the most complex and challenging programmes in the UK.

Our clients expect and trust us to make a real, enduring and positive difference to their business success.  We repay and reinforce that trust by solving their business challenges and by linking our rewards to the achievement of their business objectives.  This business to business level partnership has been the driving force behind our success and provides our staff with the opportunity to:

  • make a direct, real and sustainable difference to some of the most complex and high profile programmes in the UK
  • experience highly challenging and varied assignments across multiple market sectors
  • collaborate with other Harmonic people, client staff and Harmonic associates
  • broaden and deepen professional skills and experience and help others to do the same
  • help shape and grow a company that is going places -  2016 saw us increase our staff numbers by 25% with plans to grow even faster in 2017.

We typically work in partnership with our clients at their offices.  This does require a level of personal flexibility and a willingness to travel and work away from home if necessary.  We make this as easy as possible by providing a range of travel and accommodation options to suit various needs and lifestyle choices.  These range from simple hotel accommodation through to fully serviced apartments for longer term assignments.

Whilst working away from Harmonic offices is a reality in our business, we do try hard to ensure everybody feels connected to Harmonic at all times.  We do this in several ways including:

  • typically deploying teams rather than individuals
  • providing virtual communication platforms such as Blogs
  • arranging regular company social events, with a long weekend for families or friends at Center Parcs™ being the highlight for most
  • holding quarterly company-wide communication and networking events at locations around the UK such as the SS Great Britain in Bristol
  • arranging regular ‘town hall’ events with senior Harmonic staff at or close to where our people are working
  • encouraging social events buy contributing up to £40 per person to social activities organised by individual team members
  • and of course, frequent meetings within and across the professional teams in Harmonic.
